Viramgam is one of the princely states of the Ahemdabad district and is believed to have some beautiful stories behind its origin.
It is a popular by-passing spot for its Mansar lake and ruined fort.
Mansar Lake
Mansar lake is surrounded by huge carved stones and more than 300 small and big temples(shrines). In each shrine on one side of the lake is a pedestal, probably for an image of Krishna, and on the other side around the basin, jaladhar, probably sacred to Shiva.
The lake has one main temple and another side an old monument.

Chotila
Chotila is a simple Hindu temple town in the Surendranagar district. The Chamund or Chotila hill is surmounted by the temple of Chamunda is 1173 feet in height. Numerous devotees come here to pay respect to this Shakti peeth. The temple is reached by climbing 620 steps. As the place is at a high altitude, you can also enjoy the mesmerizing view of Rajkot.
Ajramar Tower
Ajramar Tower is one of the oldest clock towers. It is also known as the ‘Tower Chowk’ or ‘City Tower’. It is a great place to spot historical remains or Old architecture.
Shree Trinetreshwar Mahadev Temple
It is located in the Tarnetar village of Surendranagar district. It is declared one of the most protected monuments. This temple is to be believed the site where Arjun won the hand of Draupadi in an archery contest during the swayamvara of Draupadi.
It is surrounded by three Kunds namely the Vishnu Kund, Brahma Kund, and the Shiv Kund. It is believed that a dip here is equivalent to a dip in the sacred Gangas.
